This Privacy Policy describes how Zavune ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website at zavune.com and our web application (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in via Google or GitHub OAuth, your name and profile picture as provided by those services.
  • Payment Information: If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by LemonSqueezy. We do not store your credit card details. LemonSqueezy may collect billing information subject to their own privacy policy.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Analytics: We may use privacy-focused analytics (such as Plausible Analytics) to understand how visitors use our website. These tools do not use cookies and do not collect personally identifiable information.
  • Log Data: Our servers may automatically record standard log information such as IP address, browser type, and referring pages when you access the Service.

1.3 Information Stored Locally

  • Conversations & Data: By default, all your conversations, settings, and API keys are stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable cloud sync.
  • Local Storage: We use browser localStorage for preferences such as theme, language, and viewport settings. These are not transmitted to our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • To process transactions and manage your account.
  • To communicate with you about updates, security alerts, or support.
  • To analyze usage patterns and improve user experience (using anonymized, non-personal data).

3. Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third-party services:

  • AI Model Providers (Gemini, Claude, DeepSeek, GLM, etc.): When you use the Service, your browser connects directly to AI providers using your own API key. We do not proxy, intercept, or store your API requests or responses.
  • Supabase: If you create an account or enable cloud sync, your data is stored in Supabase infrastructure. Supabase's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.
  • LemonSqueezy: Payment processing is handled by LemonSqueezy. Their privacy policy governs how they handle your payment information.
  • Google & GitHub OAuth: If you sign in via Google or GitHub, those providers share your name, email, and profile picture with us as authorized by you.

4. Data Storage & Security

  • Local-First: Your conversations and API keys are stored in your browser by default. We cannot access this data.
  • Cloud Sync (Optional): If you enable cloud sync, data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and stored in secure infrastructure (Supabase, hosted in the US).
  • Security Measures: We implement industry-standard security practices including HTTPS, secure authentication, and access controls.

5. Data Retention

  • Local Data: Stored indefinitely in your browser until you clear it or delete it within the app.
  • Account Data: Retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
  • Analytics Data: Aggregated and anonymized; no personal data is retained.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws), you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data.
  • Export your data (we provide JSON export functionality).
  • Withdraw consent at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

8. International Data Transfers

Our servers are located in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

9. Cookies

Zavune does not use cookies for tracking. We use browser localStorage for functional preferences (theme, language). If we use analytics services that set cookies, we will obtain your consent first via a cookie banner.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
