Get started with Zavune in 5 minutes
No installation required. Bring an API key to start, and optionally enable account features later if you need cross-device sync.
Get your API Key
Zavune doesn't bundle AI models β you connect directly to providers with your own API key. It's local-first by default; if you enable account sync, data is synced only within your authorized scope.
Configure your API Key
Open Zavune and click the settings icon at the bottom left. Select your provider and paste your API key. Data stays local-first by default, and sync is enabled only when you opt in.
Start a conversation
Click the + button in the sidebar to create a new conversation. Type your question in the input box. AI responds in real-time streaming. Conversations are local-first, with optional cross-device sync.
Create your first branch
When you want to explore a different direction from a message, hover over it and click the branch icon. A new worldline is born β it inherits all context before the branch point but heads in a different direction from here.
Switch worldlines, compare results
In the worldline selector at the top, you can see a list of all worldlines. Click any worldline to switch to it. Each worldline has its own color and divergence value to help you quickly distinguish different directions of thinking.
Pro Tips
Use Tree View for the big picture
Switch to tree view mode with a keyboard shortcut to visualize your entire conversation structure. Click any node to jump directly to it.
Use different models on different worldlines
After creating a branch, switch to a different AI model. This lets you compare how different models answer the same question.
Track history with Timeline
Switch to the Timeline tab in the sidebar to browse all messages chronologically and quickly locate branch points.
Export your conversations
Click the export button at the top to save your conversation as a JSON file or image for backup and sharing.
